| Attention to the smallest details brings out the workmanship and commitment to projects, and the extra effort that Nub gave to the interior shows. Most top-tier show cars change the interior paint colors, but few go to this depth and change the whole scheme of the vinyl. Check out the closeup interior shots of the dash, console, and complete vinyl assemblies, including the seats. Yes, that's going the extra effort and creating an overall scheme! |
| Not one to leave the hardware neglected, Mackenzie chose to force some power in the 1.5L non-VTEC. A 50 shot of nitrous does fine as well as the other goodies of an AEM cold air intake, and Chikara header. |
| The show stance was obtained by using Weapon R coilovers and 17 inch rims. The need to bring the added power to a controlled halt meant adding cross-drilled rotors. Always keeping safety, in mind the more powerful Del Sol needed some additional safety devices, and this is where the custom roll cage was added. The install of the cage, along with the addition of the nitrous package, was performed at Romar Racing. |

Pumping up the volume entailed adding three 10 inch subs along with a new Sony Mobile EX system. Audio Motion in Marlboro, New York helped in getting the sound level up to competition standards.
Adding to the already long list of mods are additions that help the night scene to get going- a full-blown twin lazer light emitter, a custom smoke machine, and strobes take care of the rave duties. Invite this ride to your next rave, and get noticed big time. Mackenzie and Nub have flossed the Del Sol on the East Coast show circuit this year with great results. At the Hot Import Nights Show in New Jersey, they were awarded "Hottest Finish". Next, they scored big with "Best of Show" at the Nopi Regional at the Nira Race and Show at Natco Speedway. |

Mackenzie told me that she has a Ninja 250 the same color scheme as the Del Sol. Nub told me he wasn't happy with his work, and that it lacked something. In amazement I asked what could possibly need changing! "Well, I might just repaint the whole thing for next year." Some people are just perfectionists, I guess, again take note that once you get started you will not be able to stop. Both Mackenzie and Nub wanted to say much props to all their friends who helped along the way. When they needed a hand in this or that there were peeps who would come to their aide, and they both say thanks. To contact them: phone: (845)-778-2191 fax: (845)-778-3885 email: nubgrafix@aol.com |
