Stephan
Papadakis 2001 Civic Coupe

Right in the middle of the picture you can see the
huge
Bell Housing of the Tranny .
Stephan tells the S.T. Crew that tranny was the hardest part of putting
the racer together . This Tranny is from a Baja 1000 race chassis .
Previously Stephan and his crew were
using a mostly stock prelude tranny , however they were breaking them
right and left .
This one new modification will make the difference in the new campaign
to lower the E.T. s into the 7's !
Out of the box this new Civic Coupe ran a 9.11 second run @ 161.94 on
Saturday July 22 / 2001
at Budds creek raceway in Maryland !
Quite impressive a feat on the first run down the 1320 !
On Sunday the Coupe ran a best "to-date"
8.12 @167 mph ,
getting quicker with each new run this
Coupe is gonna be a contender for the 7's.

Incorporating a Huge Greddy
T - 88
ball bearing Turbocharger
feeding the
H23A1 prelude motor
compressed air into a custom
AEM intake track feeding the
one-off Eshlemans Carbon Works intake
manifold .
Stephan tells the S.T. Crew that this built H23A1
motor is now running on Alcohol fuel .
To keep all this 650 + horse power in - check requires
the use of several electronic devices .

Stephan taking his cue from the hit movie
" The Fast and the Furious "
choose to use the
Motec engine management / exhaust system .
As well as other Greddy , Sparco and other
go-fast goodies !
To look into the interior you get the
impression of pure business.
However the Carbon Fiber shell is beautiful and the attention to detail
and craftsmanship is of the
finest quality!
Street Tuners wants to thank Stephan Papadakis for taking the time
from his crowded schedule to give us a look at the new Civic Coupe.
The S.T. Crew wishes the best for Stephan in the upcoming season .
We will keep you posted on the
AEM / Honda
Civic
now on to the full sized pics !
